Deregulation will be a central focus in the upcoming Economic Survey, according to Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran.

Nageswaran stressed the importance of deregulation at the state and local government levels to increase female workforce participation. He also emphasized that easing regulations is crucial for encouraging greater female involvement in the labor market.

Furthermore, Nageswaran cautioned against drawing hasty conclusions from the recent significant decline in GDP growth during the second quarter of the current financial year, asserting that India's growth narrative remains strong.
