The Italian government has introduced a comprehensive economic reform package called Maneuver 2025. This package consists of 144 articles that address various issues such as taxation, pensions, family support, healthcare, and business welfare.
One notable feature of Maneuver 2025 is the reorganization of tax deductions, particularly benefiting families. The introduction of a family quotient system will change how tax deductions are calculated for households earning above 75,000 euros. The new system takes into account the number of children in a household, with different coefficients applied based on the number of children.
Starting in January 2025, each parent will receive a one-time bonus of 1,000 euros for every child born or adopted.
The Maneuver also proposes an increase in minimum pensions and significant investments in healthcare. It allocates funds for contract renewals for health workers and raises compensation for National Health Service staff.
The Maneuver extends the Special Layoff Benefits Fund to strategic national companies and introduces measures to assist employees, such as tax-free fringe benefits for rent and utilities.
The Maneuver includes provisions for natural disaster recovery and proposes a spending review to streamline government spending while maintaining essential services.
