Karnataka is on track to become the first state in India to implement a Clean Mobility Policy, building on its successful Electric Vehicle (EV) policy. The new policy will support various technologies, including electric, hydrogen, and blended fuels, with the aim of establishing a comprehensive ecosystem for clean mobility.
The Clean Mobility Policy will cover the entire supply chain, including critical components like batteries and strong hybrids. MB Patil, Karnataka's Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure, highlighted the policy's holistic approach to promoting clean transportation solutions. This initiative is expected to attract significant investments, with projections of up to ₹50,000 crore and the potential to create 100,000 new jobs in the state.
