Indian Hotels Co. Ltd., the parent company of luxury brand Taj Hotels, has announced plans to expand its portfolio by adding 120 properties in the coming years. This strategic move is aimed at capitalizing on the growing demand for travel and leisure, particularly in the premium and mid-range segments.
The expansion plan includes the opening of 11 hotels this year, in addition to the 14 already announced. Next year, the company plans to introduce 30 new properties, followed by 35 in the subsequent year. The first hotel in Frankfurt is scheduled to launch next year, marking an important milestone for the brand's international presence.
Managing Director Puneet Chhatwal discussed these plans during an interview on Bloomberg TV, emphasizing the company's commitment to seizing opportunities in the thriving travel and wedding sectors.
