Russia to raise key interest rate to 20 percent amid inflation concerns

The Bank of Russia is expected to increase its key interest rate to 20% in an upcoming meeting in order to address rising inflation rates.

According to economists surveyed by Bloomberg, only two out of eleven analysts believe that the rate will remain at its current level of 19%. Some analysts have even suggested the possibility of a larger increase, indicating the central bank's urgent response to rapid price growth.
