Eni SpA has recently completed a deal to sell an additional stake in its renewables unit, Plenitude, to Energy Infrastructure Partners AG.
This transaction will result in Energy Infrastructure Partners AG increasing its ownership in Plenitude to 10%.
The deal will be carried out through a capital increase valued at approximately €209 million ($224 million).
Energy Infrastructure Partners AG's total commitment to Plenitude will now amount to around €800 million, which includes €588 million from a previous acquisition made in March.
This move is in line with Eni's strategy to simplify its portfolio and concentrate on renewable energy initiatives.
