Indian markets end seven-day losing streak with gains in key sectors

Indian equity markets broke a seven-day losing streak on November 19, as the Nifty closed above 23,500 and the Sensex gained 239 points.

The Sensex ended at 77,578.38, up 0.31 percent, while the Nifty closed at 23,518.50, up 0.28 percent.

Despite mixed global cues, the market opened positively and continued to gain throughout the day. However, in the final hour, the indices lost some of their earlier gains following reports of Ukraine"s first ATACMS strike inside Russia.

Market activity will be paused on November 20 due to the Maharashtra Assembly polls.
