Mahindra and Mahindra has introduced its latest battery electric vehicles (BEVs) based on the INGLO platform, specifically the BE 6e and XEV 9e models.
The initial versions will come with 59kWh batteries, offering a range of approximately 535-542 km, while the higher-end variants will be equipped with 79kWh batteries, providing a range of around 656-682 km.
Both models boast advanced features such as ADAS, ample storage, and interactive instrument clusters, positioning them competitively in the market.
Bookings for the BE 6e and XEV 9e are expected to open in January 2025, with retail sales projected to commence in February or March of the same year.
The vehicles share a wheelbase of 2,775mm, allowing for production on the same line at the Chakan plant in Pune.
Mahindra aims to increase its BEV production capacity by approximately 10,000 units by the end of FY25, building on its existing utility vehicle capacity of around 54,000 units per month.
Prabhudas Lilladher has maintained a 'BUY' rating for Mahindra and Mahindra, setting a target price of Rs 3,456, which reflects a valuation of 26.5 times the expected core EPS for September 2026, alongside additional valuations for its EV business and listed subsidiaries.
