The average disposable household income in Switzerland for 2022 remained stable compared to previous years, at CHF6,902 ($7,825) per month.
Consumer spending accounted for 49.8% of gross income, with households allocating an average of CHF4,949 per month. This reflects a return to pre-pandemic consumption levels.
After deducting expenses, Swiss households had an average savings amount of CHF1,546 per month, which constitutes 15.6% of their gross income. However, households in the lowest income bracket, earning less than CHF4,723, often spent more than they earned, indicating ongoing financial challenges for some segments of the population.
