Analysts are predicting that Samvat 2081 will have lower returns compared to the previous year, with a majority expressing doubt about replicating last year's gains.
The Moneycontrol Market Poll, which gathered responses from various market participants, including broking firms and mutual funds, suggests that broader indices such as BSE MidCap and SmallCap will also struggle to maintain their previous momentum.
Divam Sharma, Founder and Fund Manager at Green Portfolio PMS, has pointed out that while certain sectors may outperform in the upcoming year, the significant increase in valuations seen in Samvat 2080 has left many stocks at high price levels, potentially hindering their future performance.
Despite these challenges, there is an expectation of sustained domestic institutional inflows, which could provide some support. This emphasizes the importance of selective stock picking and increased vigilance for investors aiming for gains in Samvat 2081.
