Billionaires Wealth Doubles in a Decade Surpassing Global Equity Growth

The number of billionaires has increased by more than 50% in the past decade, reaching 2,682 individuals as of April 2024.

Their combined wealth has grown by 121%, totaling around $14 trillion, which is more than three times Germany's annual economic output.

The study shows that billionaires' wealth has outpaced the MSCI AC World index, which rose by 73% during the same period.

While billionaires in the USA and Europe have consistently seen their fortunes grow, those in China experienced a sharp rise until 2020, followed by a slight decline.

This significant increase in wealth among the super-rich highlights the widening economic gap and raises concerns about wealth distribution in the global economy.
