IndiGo's shares experienced a 1% increase to Rs 4,295 on November 26, as the airline achieved a record market share of 63.3% in October. This represents a significant rise of over 40% in the company's stock value this year.
IndiGo has recently announced a codeshare partnership with Japan Airlines (JAL), which will commence on December 16. Through this collaboration, JAL will be able to expand its services to 18 domestic destinations within IndiGo's extensive network. Presently, JAL operates daily flights from Tokyo (Haneda) to Delhi and five weekly flights from Tokyo (Narita) to Bengaluru. The new agreement will allow passengers to book tickets under one airline's flight number, even if the flight is operated by the other airline, thereby providing more travel options for passengers connecting between the two airlines.
