The largest portion of sales comes from business insurance, accounting for 46.1% of revenues. Commercial multi-peril insurance contributes 24% of revenues, followed by workers' compensation at 20% and automobile insurance at 17.4%. Other significant contributors include general liability insurance at 16.8% and commercial property insurance at 15.3%.
Personal insurance, which includes car and home insurance, makes up 35.7% of sales, while financial institution indemnity insurance, covering professional liability and surety agreements, accounts for 9.2%. Geographically, the majority of the company's sales are in the United States, representing 94.4% of total revenues. Canada contributes 3.5% and other regions make up the remaining 2.1%. This distribution emphasizes Travelers' strong presence in the U.S. market, solidifying its position as a major player in the insurance industry.
