Clifford Abrahams has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of IG Group Holdings plc, starting on December 16, 2024.

Abrahams brings extensive experience from major financial institutions. He previously served as Group CFO for Virgin Money UK plc since 2021 and has also held the position of Group CFO at ABN AMRO Bank and Delta Lloyd Group.

Abrahams expressed excitement about joining IG at a crucial time and highlighted the company's potential to gain market share in fragmented sectors. William Mead has recently taken on the role of Head of Operations at IG Group. Mead has a strong background within the company, having previously served as Head of Trading Operations and Global Head of Credit and Client Money.

Abrahams began his career at Morgan Stanley and also held senior finance roles at Aviva. He holds an MBA from Wharton Business School and an MA in Economics from Cambridge University.

Breon Corcoran, CEO of IG, welcomed Abrahams and emphasized the value of his experience as the company enters its next growth phase.
