Tilaknagar Industries Ltd has recently introduced Monarch Legacy Edition, which signifies its foray into the luxury brandy segment. This new offering is a combination of French and Indian grape spirits, with the French components being aged for up to eight years.
Priced at Rs 6,750 for a 750 ml bottle, Monarch Legacy aims to enhance the perception of Indian brandy globally, following the success of Indian whiskies and gins. The company, established in 1933, has a strong presence in the Indian brandy market and is renowned for its iconic products such as Mansion House Brandy.
Amit Dahanukar, Chairman and Managing Director, highlighted the untapped potential of luxury brandy in India, despite it being the second most-consumed spirit category. The distillery, located in Shrirampur near Nashik, benefits from almost a century of distilling expertise, showcasing the unique qualities of Indian brandy.
Following the announcement, Tilaknagar Industries' shares have experienced a significant surge of over 50% in the past month, indicating substantial investor interest in the company's new luxury brandy venture. Monarch Legacy has an alcohol content of 42.8%, positioning it as a premium product in the competitive spirits market.
