CDSL shares have experienced a significant surge, reaching a new record high with substantial trading volumes. The stock has more than doubled in value this year, outperforming the Nifty 50 benchmark, which has seen a 12 percent increase.
In the quarter ending September 2024, CDSL reported an impressive 49 percent year-on-year increase in net profit, amounting to Rs 162 crore. Revenue from operations also saw a substantial rise of 55.5 percent year-on-year, reaching Rs 322 crore.
As of September 30, 2024, CDSL has surpassed 13.5 crore registered demat accounts, with the second quarter of FY 2024-25 alone witnessing the addition of 1.18 crore new demat accounts, highlighting the growing trend in digital asset management.
