In October, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) made a record investment of over Rs 1 lakh crore in Indian equities, which is the highest monthly purchasing activity to date.
During the same period, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold equities worth Rs 85,000 crore ($11 billion).
Year-to-date, DII investments have reached approximately Rs 4.41 lakh crore, with two months remaining in the year. Market experts believe that this strong DII activity is due to a shift towards equities, driven by increased retail participation through mutual funds. This trend is expected to support high valuations and market stability, despite fluctuations caused by FII activities.
