Beijing firm to divest 33 percent stake in UBS Securities

BSAM plans to sell a 33% stake in UBS Securities for 1.5 billion yuan, as reported by the China Beijing Equity Exchange.

This sale will result in a change in the ownership structure of UBS Securities, which became the first foreign-majority securities firm in China in 2018. Currently, UBS holds a 67% stake in UBS Securities, and the sale will reduce BSAM's involvement in the joint venture.

This transaction reflects developments in China's financial sector, particularly in terms of foreign investment and ownership in domestic securities firms.
