Namibia's central bank has recently decreased its main interest rate for the third time in a row, bringing it down by 25 basis points to 7%. This is the lowest rate observed in more than a year, indicating the bank's efforts to stimulate economic growth while keeping inflation levels stable.
The decision was announced by Governor Johannes !Gawaxab during a press briefing in Windhoek, where he emphasized the importance of supporting the economy while also maintaining control over inflation. This action is viewed as a proactive measure to create a favorable environment for economic recovery.
