efg bank strengthens asia advisory team with key recruitments

EFG Bank has strengthened its Asia advisory team by hiring two well-known individuals from the private banking sector.

Urs Buchmann, previously the vice chairman at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, will bring his extensive experience in driving the bank's activities across Greater China and other Asian markets to EFG.

Joining him is Ashish Gumashta, who has held significant roles including managing director of strategic initiatives at Motilal Oswal and executive chairman and CEO of Julius Baer India. Gumashta's recent departure from Motilal Oswal after just six months highlights the dynamic nature of leadership in the financial services industry.

These strategic appointments are part of EFG's plans to strengthen its presence and growth in the competitive Asian market.
