Stefan Bollinger will become the CEO of Julius Baer on January 9, 2025, following an extensive search process. The announcement coincides with the release of the bank's 10-month figures.
Bollinger, a Swiss national, previously held the position of Co-Head of Private Wealth Management EMEA at Goldman Sachs in London for 20 years, including 14 years as a Partner. He has also worked at J.P. Morgan in London and has experience in markets such as Hong Kong, Luxembourg, New York, and Zurich.
Bollinger's appointment fills the vacancy left by Philipp Rickenbacher, who resigned in February after the bank incurred significant losses related to credit exposure in the Signa Group, owned by entrepreneur René Benko. Nic Dreckmann has been serving as interim CEO since Rickenbacher's departure.
