global stock markets surge as dollar weakens in holiday trading session

Global stock markets had a strong performance on Friday, with Wall Street ending November with its biggest monthly gain in a year. This was driven by optimism about post-election growth.

The S&P 500 increased by 0.56%, resulting in a monthly gain of 5.14%, which is the best performance since November 2023. The Nasdaq also saw a rise of 0.83%, leading to a 6.2% gain for the month, the highest since May. The MSCI index, which tracks a wide range of global stocks, rose by 0.52%, achieving its best monthly performance since May.

The dollar weakened due to expectations of higher interest rates in Japan and easier conditions in Europe.
