UBS Maintains Neutral Rating on Bayer Shares with Target Price of 22 Euros

Bayer shares have been given a "Neutral" rating by UBS AG, with a target price of 22 euros. Analyst Geoff Haire has pointed out the potential benefits for European chemical companies, such as BASF, Covestro, Lanxess, and Yara, if there is a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, as it could lead to a decrease in gas prices.

At 1:12 p.m., Bayer shares rose by 0.3 percent to EUR 20.08, indicating a potential increase of 9.59 percent compared to the analysts' forecast. However, the stock has declined significantly by 40.1 percent since the beginning of 2024.

Today, there have been 1,498,196 Bayer shares traded on XETRA. The company is scheduled to announce its Q4 2024 financial results on March 5, 2025.
