WeRide Inc., a Chinese self-driving automotive company, has successfully completed its US initial public offering and a concurrent private placement, raising $440.5 million.
The company had initially planned to sell 6.45 million American depositary shares at a price range of $15.50 to $18.50 per share. However, the IPO was ultimately priced at $15.50 per share, and the offering was increased by 20%, resulting in a total raise of $120 million.
This achievement is significant for WeRide as it operates in the competitive autonomous vehicle technology market. The company's ability to attract substantial investment despite market fluctuations demonstrates the growing interest in self-driving solutions and the potential for innovation in the automotive sector.
