HUL board to decide ice cream business separation by December

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has announced that its ice cream business will undergo a separation process, with the Board making a decision by December.

The decision will be based on recommendations from an Independent Committee. CEO Rohit Jawa has stated that the Board is currently considering two options: selling the business or demerging it to create a separate entity.

Jawa emphasized that the decision-making process will be guided by the independent committee. Despite the ongoing evaluation, the ice cream business has maintained its volume compared to the previous year, indicating stable performance.
