UBS has reaffirmed its commitment to the arts by serving as the presenting sponsor for Art San Diego 2024, which will be held from November 1-3, 2024, at the San Diego Convention Center.
This marks UBS's 16th consecutive year in this role. Art San Diego 2024 is recognized as the premier contemporary fine art fair in Southern California and will feature exhibits from prominent international, national, and local artists. The fair, produced by Redwood Art Group, aims to enhance the cultural landscape of the region and foster connections between artists and the community.
UBS's Access to Art program, launched in 2018, partners with select charities to provide educational and marketing opportunities in art, design, and business development. This year, the program collaborates with Monarch School, Humble Design San Diego, and local artists from ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station to create a special installation that reflects the theme of transforming a house into a home through imaginative design and meaningful art. The exhibit will feature artwork created by students from Monarch School, with proceeds benefiting the Monarch School Project.
UBS also plays a significant role in analyzing and reporting on global art market trends as the global lead partner of Art Basel and co-publisher of the annual Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report. The latest report reveals that the United States dominates the global art market, followed by China, and indicates a positive outlook for the art market in 2024. UBS's extensive art collection reflects the firm's belief in the power of art to inspire innovation and creativity.
Art San Diego 2024 will showcase a diverse range of artists and galleries, including international exhibitors and local talent. The fair will also include the [SOLO] Pavilion, dedicated to independent artists and fine art photographers. The San Diego Selects program will recognize outstanding works by local artists.
UBS's ongoing support for Art San Diego and its philanthropic initiatives demonstrate the firm's commitment to enriching the community through the arts and contributing to the growth of the global art market.
