RWE AG, a prominent energy group in Europe, has announced impressive sales figures for 2023. The majority of its activities, accounting for 80.5%, are focused on electricity and gas trading and distribution.

Throughout the year, the company sold 159,679 GWh of electricity and 42,391 GWh of gas. Renewable energy production, which includes wind, solar, hydroelectric, and biomass, contributed 16.7% to the overall sales, with a total production of 129,701 GWh.

In terms of geographical distribution, RWE's sales are primarily concentrated in Germany (48.1%), followed by the United Kingdom (26.8%), Europe (19.5%), North America (4.2%), and other regions (1.4%). Additionally, RWE engages in fossil and nuclear energy production, which makes up 2.8% of its activities.

This diverse portfolio establishes RWE AG as a significant player in the European energy sector, showcasing its commitment to both traditional and renewable energy sources.
