Graubünden Cantonal Bank (BCG) has been named the top bank in Switzerland for the fourth consecutive year in a retail banking study conducted by Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
The study evaluated 91 financial institutions based on their balance sheets and income statements from 2019 to 2023, using nine key indicators. BCG emerged as the best bank among those with a balance sheet sum exceeding 25 billion francs and maintained its position as the leading cantonal bank across all size categories.
CEO Daniel Fust emphasized that BCG's strong performance reflects the effectiveness of its solid business model, which has proven resilient under varying market conditions. The annual study, conducted by the Institute for Financial Services Zug (IFZ), also examines customer price sensitivity and the adoption of bancassurance products in Switzerland, in addition to thoroughly analyzing the financial indicators and corporate governance of retail banks.
