Apple unveils redesigned Mac mini with M4 chips and smaller size

Apple Inc. has introduced a major redesign of its Mac mini desktop computer, which is the first update in about 15 years.

The new Mac mini is now smaller, measuring just 5 inches wide and less than half the size of its predecessor from 2010. This compact design brings it closer in size to the Apple TV set-top box.

Along with the reduced size, the updated Mac mini models now feature the latest M4 and M4 Pro processors, which improve performance and speed. This launch is part of a broader series of upgrades across Apple's Mac lineup, demonstrating the company's commitment to innovation in its desktop offerings. The new chassis is 2 inches tall, giving it a modern look while still delivering advanced computing capabilities.
