ubs relocates from historic credit suisse headquarters to functional building

UBS will be leaving the prestigious Credit Suisse headquarters at Schwanenplatz in Lucerne, known for its exclusivity and high rental prices. The bank, which acquired Credit Suisse, will move its operations to a more functional building near the train station in spring 2025.

The Schwanenplatz location, home to the neoclassical Wagenbachhof built in 1922, has been a landmark for over a century and is considered the most prestigious office building in Lucerne. UBS plans to keep ownership of the iconic building and lease it to third parties, although details about potential tenants are unclear. Interest from various parties in the historic site, which offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding Alps, has already been reported.
