Luis de Guindos, Vice President of the European Central Bank, expressed optimism about recent consumer price data in the euro area, suggesting a positive trend in inflation. Speaking in Madrid, he acknowledged that while inflation figures are encouraging, there are concerns about economic growth.
De Guindos pointed out that services inflation is expected to slow down in the coming months. He emphasized that the ECB expects inflation to stabilize and converge towards the target of 2%, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining price stability in the eurozone.
