prosus invests 100 million in vastu housing finance acquiring minority stake

Dutch technology investor Prosus has made a $100 million investment in Vastu Housing Financing Corporate Limited, giving them an 8.4 percent effective stake in the Indian housing finance company.

This investment will be treated as an equity-accounted associate due to Prosus's significant influence on Vastu's board of directors.

The acquisition was approved by the Competition Commission of India and follows a growth investment from private equity firm TA Associates Management LP, estimated at $400 million, which valued Vastu at over $1.4 billion.

Vastu also received a loan of up to $50 million from the United States International Development Finance Corporation in September.
