A.P. Möller-Maersk shares decline after UBS lowers investment recommendation

A.P. Möller-Maersk shares experienced a 1 percent decline to DKK 10,235 after UBS downgraded its recommendation from buy to neutral. UBS also lowered its target price for the company from DKK 13,953 to DKK 11,000, stating that their investment thesis did not unfold as expected.

UBS noted that the company's valuation has remained relatively stable since July 2023. While UBS recognized a valuation discount compared to historical levels, peers, and fleet replacement costs, they expressed doubt about the need for a structural revaluation. UBS cautioned that investors may see Maersk as a potential value trap in the coming quarters.
