Hindustan Unilever profit declines while Thyrocare and Sona BLW report growth

Hindustan Unilever's Q2 profit declined by 3.9% compared to the previous year, amounting to ₹2,612 crore. This decrease was due to weak operating margins and a modest volume growth of 3%. The consumer goods sector continues to face challenges.

Sona BLW Precision Forgings, on the other hand, experienced a strong growth in Q2 profit, with a 15.7% increase to ₹144 crore, despite a decline in operating margins. This demonstrates the company's ability to thrive in fluctuating market conditions.

Thyrocare Technologies also saw a significant surge in Q2 profit, with a 29% year-on-year increase to ₹26.4 crore. The company's EBITDA margin expanded by 200 basis points, highlighting its effective operational strategies and growing demand for its services.
