Indian markets expected to open flat amid mixed global cues

Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open on a flat to positive note on October 24, with GIFT Nifty trading around 24,510 this morning.

The previous trading session on October 23 saw a volatile market, where final hour selling pressure erased all intraday gains, leading to a negative close. At the end of the session, the Sensex fell by 138.74 points, or 0.17 percent, closing at 80,081.98, while the Nifty declined by 36.60 points, or 0.15 percent, finishing at 24,435.50.

Despite the broader indices showing some outperformance, the market sentiment remained cautious. Investors are advised to stay updated on market movements as trading progresses today.
