Indian markets decline for sixth consecutive day amid sectoral selling

The Indian benchmark indices continued their downward trend for the sixth consecutive session on November 14, with the Nifty closing below 23,550. The Sensex fell by 110.64 points, or 0.14 percent, to settle at 77,580.31, while the Nifty decreased by 26.35 points, or 0.11 percent, ending at 23,532.70.

The market initially showed positive momentum for the first few hours but later experienced selling pressure at higher levels, causing a reversal and pushing the Nifty below the 23,500 mark. However, despite the volatility, sectors such as realty, auto, and media saw buying interest, which helped the index recover slightly and close above the critical level.
