franchise group awards millions in bonuses before bankruptcy filing

Franchise Group Inc., a brand manager associated with B. Riley Financial Inc., has paid out $5.75 million in retention bonuses to key insiders as the company faces bankruptcy.

In addition, non-insider essential employees received a total of $2.16 million in bonuses. These bonuses are subject to clawback provisions, which means they can be taken back if the employees or executives leave their positions prematurely.

The court filings do not disclose the identities of the individual recipients of these bonuses.
