The Swiss economy experienced a slowdown in the third quarter, with a growth rate of 1.3 percent year-on-year.
Trade, construction, and consumption contributed positively with growth rates of 1.4 percent, 0.9 percent, and 0.5 percent respectively. However, the industrial sector, particularly the chemicals and pharmaceuticals segment, faced challenges and showed stagnant performance.
The economy grew by 0.2 percent from July to September, a decrease from the 0.4 percent growth recorded in the previous quarter. These figures align with earlier estimates released in mid-November, indicating ongoing difficulties within the manufacturing sector, which has seen significant declines across various branches.
