Jeff Talpins, the leader of Element Capital Management, had holdings of approximately $2 billion in S&P 500 exchange-traded funds (ETFs) by the end of September.
This included a position of $954 million in the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF and an increased stake of around $1 billion in the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF.
The trades were advantageous as the S&P 500 benchmark surged by 3.5% in the week following the November 5 election, when Donald Trump regained the presidency.
Element Capital's significant investments in these ETFs indicate a positive outlook on the market's performance after the election.
