SoftBank Group Corp. has reported a significant turnaround, achieving its largest quarterly profit in two years. The Tokyo-based company posted a net income of ¥1.18 trillion ($7.7 billion) for the September quarter, a stark contrast to the net loss of ¥931 billion recorded during the same period last year.
The Vision Fund contributed to this impressive performance, reporting a gain of ¥373 billion, further supported by increased valuations of companies such as Didi Global Inc. and Coupang Inc.
This financial rebound provides founder Masayoshi Son with renewed confidence and resources for future investments.
