RITES has been awarded a significant contract worth $97.13 million by the Government of Guyana's Ministry of Public Works for the upgrade of the Palmyra to Moleson Creek Highway. This project will be carried out over the next 60 months, which will greatly contribute to the company's order book.
In the second quarter, RITES reported a 3.55 percent increase in its order book, which now amounts to Rs 6,581 crore. During the September quarter alone, the company received over 90 orders worth Rs 729 crore, surpassing the total orders received in the first half of the previous fiscal year. Chairman and Managing Director Rahul Mithal emphasized the company's consistent performance, highlighting a rate of '1 order a day' and the growing confidence in RITES' capabilities.
