OYO reports strong Q2 profit and revenue growth amid strategic acquisition

OYO's net profit for the second quarter of FY25 was Rs 158 crore, a significant improvement from a loss of Rs 50 crore in the same period last year.

The company also reported a profit after tax of Rs 132 crore in the first quarter, bringing the total net profit for the first half of FY25 to Rs 290 crore.

This is compared to a net loss of Rs 91 crore in the same timeframe last fiscal year.

In Q2 FY25, OYO's revenue increased to Rs 1,578 crore, up from Rs 1,413 crore in the previous quarter.

Additionally, OYO recently acquired G6 Hospitality, a US-based economy lodging franchisor, from Blackstone, which has further expanded its presence in the hospitality sector.
