ubs announces leadership changes in investment banking sectors

Significant leadership changes have been announced by UBS Group AG in its investment banking division. The aim is to strengthen the focus on health care and leveraged finance following recent departures of senior executives.

Jon Levin has been appointed as the global head of health care, in addition to his current role overseeing consumer and retail. He succeeds David Kostel.

Fergus Horrobin will now serve as the chairman for global real estate, lodging, and leisure, following the departure of Alan Felder.

Other key appointments include Bethany Ropa as head of the Americas team, Wolfgang Fuchs overseeing Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and Indran Thana leading the Asia group, excluding China and Australia/New Zealand.

In the leveraged finance department, Marc Warm has been named global head of leveraged and debt capital markets, while Michele Cousins will serve as head of capital partnerships and global head of leveraged capital markets.

Additionally, David Slade has been appointed vice chairman of global banking.
