ITC reports 3.1 percent profit growth with 16 percent revenue increase

ITC Ltd has announced a standalone net profit of Rs 5,078.3 crore for the second quarter of FY25, showing a 3.1% increase from the same period last year.

The company's total revenue for the July-September quarter rose by 16.8% to Rs 19,327.8 crore compared to the previous year.

A recent poll conducted by Moneycontrol among eight brokerages projected ITC's revenue to be Rs 17,986 crore, with a net profit projection of Rs 5,107 crore for the quarter.

The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) reached Rs 6,335.2 crore, reflecting a growth of 4.9%.

However, the company faced challenges due to rising costs of raw materials, including coffee, cocoa, and crude oil.
